Yesterday, Che Guevara, Gandhi, Comandante Marcos. Political icons.
Today, brands without political messages.
Is marketing to blame or our feeling of disempowerment?
Or the icon. He or she is there to do the job for us: no need to get out of our comfort and ignorance.
But if political messages are not being shared and understood, the emptiness of brands prevail.
Octavio Paz “The revolutionary is always radical, he does not long to correct abuses, but the uses themselves”
“Freedom is freedom of being, not freedom of having” – Ugo Mattei
We have a limited amount of resources left. Why don’t we share?
Nature and people must come first.
Without them, you can have it all but you will be nothing.
Freedom comes with responsibility
Love so fulfilling, you do not have enough heart space to receive it
Love so simple, you do not need words to express it
Love so deep, you only need to be next to one another
Thank you friends and family. The only thing I need to consume is time with you.
Can you love today what you hated yesterday?
How unpredictable and predictable can we be?
Are sudden life changes U-turns or do they reflect uncertainties you were hiding and/or problems you did not want to solve?
U-turns might exist, but so does deliberate blindness. Blindness to who you are and whom you do not want to accept to be.
I met you once and only … for two hours. Our paths departed.
I still listen to the music I first heard with you. I saw the band playing today…for two hours.
I met you years ago… two hours…and you are still here. I don’t remember your name.
This is a tribute to all brief encounters which bring long-lasting memories.
Arundhati Roy “The transformation of the idea of justice into the industry of human rights”
A human right – my right as a human
Justice – what I do not have but you have whereas we should all have it
Justice is all encompassing.
Cooperations govern. They have a political project and they are winning.
We need to fight back for justice. Not just for my rights but our right for justice.
Is love a machine?
A beautiful relationship would require the skills to know when the lights need to be changed, or the cables fixed.
When it is time to slow down the machinery and enjoy.
The only problem is that even the most talented love mechanics can never anticipate when the power goes off.
You see so many people.
You spend so much time observing them, imagining what their life is.
People show you the life they want you to imagine they have on social media.
Yet, do you talk to many people?
Do you resist to break yourself free or to regain respect for human values?
If you do not resist, do you accept?
Resistance is the art of asking questions, of questioning boundaries; a process of creation, against the forces of destruction.
The love of everything that is going to happen – the love of risks
The trust in risking to lose everything but yourself.
“What does not kill you makes you stronger” (Nietzsche)
